Em manages a wide variety of marketing and communications projects for nonprofit and small business clients in Chicago and Washington, DC.

Her specialties include: digital campaigns, website development project management, social media site management, marcomm assessments and strategic planning, annual reports, photography, copywriting. In the following sectors: human services, early childhood education, youth empowerment, restaurants, theatres, financial planning services, and health/wellness.

Senior Policy Manger, Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance

Julia leads MEEA's policy team to advocate for all cost-effective energy efficiency within the organization's 13-state region. She is responsible for tracking energy efficiency trends throughout the region, developing key energy efficiency data points to communicate to state policymakers, and develop platforms for sharing best practices.

Curator, Salonathon

Himabindu (Bindu) Poroori is a storyteller, musician, and curator. As co-curator at Salonathon, Bindu creates space for underground, emerging, and genre-defying art in Chicago. Her own work deals with modern South Asian immigrant identity, primarily through music and written/spoken word. Bindu works as a Community Engagement Coordinator with Illinois Humanities, which aims to strengthen society by fueling inquiry and conversation about the ideas and works that shape our culture.

Office Manager, Slover Linett Audience Research Inc.

James is a theatre director and producer. As a director, he has worked with Court Theatre, The House Theatre of Chicago, The New Colony, and Route 66 Theatre. He was a participant in the 2016 Chicago Director's Lab. By day, he manages operations for Slover Linett Audience Research, a social sciences consulting firm that serves the arts & cultural sector. By night, he is the Associate Artistic Director of Redtwist Theatre, where he co-leads the artistic and literary departments and develops relationships with artists and community partners.

Program Communications Fellow, Chicago United

Freddy curated annual Culture, Inclusion, and Diversity "CID" Talks at the Chicago United Leadership Conference attended by over 200 leading business diversity officers, and coached executives on speech content and delivery. He also develops communication initiatives to maximize and promote member organizations and leaders. He supports strategy development and execution to promote Chicago United events to increase participation, while designing cohesive communication materials adhering to brand standards, and implementing them across various event programming identities.

Hana helps create, edit, and deliver accurate, informative, high-quality content to diverse audiences. Outside of work, she enjoys serving on the University of Chicago's Alumni Schools Committee, running for charity, organizing Meetups, traveling to new places, and singing every chance she gets. Hana hopes to put her passions for storytelling and language to good use: meaningfully engaging with—and empowering—individuals and communities.

Magdalen leads operations for a growing tech startup, which is a member of the Navigate Solutions suite of startup companies at 2211 N. Elston, funded by CEO Christopher Gersch. Strong skills in customer service, project management and design helped push this transition forward.

Project Administrator, Warner Bros. Television

Ceda handles all different types of communication between the different departments at WB. Partnering with production companies to produce high-quality entertainment for the millennial audiences. Her focus is on scripted as well as unscripted content across all genres, tailored to a mobile platform. It's pretty exciting stuff! She is facilitating in all areas, from development, to pre-production, production, and even post because we are such a small shop.

Alexa assists creative executives at Epic Magazine, a digital publication and film and TV production company. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling to new places, exploring LA's many ice cream shops, and attempting to surf. Alexa believes that art has the power to empower, connect, and transform individuals and communities; it is for this reason that she serves in the University of Chicago's Arts Alumni Network.
